Will move to middleweight class
Holland will face Michal Oleksiejczuk in a middleweight bout at UFC 302 on June 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Holland has been fighting in the welterweight division lately, but he'll move to middleweight to take on Oleksiejczuk in Newark. Holland owns a 25-11-0 pro record, but he's been struggling of late following back-to-back defeats to Michael Page and Jack Della Maddalena, both due to decision.

Struggles against MVP
Holland lost to Michael Page via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 299 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
This fight was nowhere near as close as the scorecards would lead you to believe. The fact all three judges felt Holland did enough to win Round 2 is hard to believe. Yes, it was the only frame in which he did anything at all offensively. Aided by a Page slip, Holland landed a takedown and did some damage from top position. But Kevin is not a natural wrestler, as evidenced by the fact he got overaggressive and allowed MVP back to his feet. In the striking exchanges between the two, Holland had zero answers for the length and awkward style of his opponent. Kevin is fun to watch and has some notable UFC wins on his resume, but he's more of a showman than legitimate contender at 170 pounds.

Facing newcomer Page in Miami
The UFC announced Sunday that Holland is scheduled to face Michael Page in a welterweight fight at UFC 299 in Miami on March 9.
ANALYSIS
Holland will be the first opponent for Page, who is best known for his 20-fight career with Bellator. While the latter will look to make an immediate impact upon entering the UFC, the former will look to maintain relevance in the promotion's welterweight rankings. Holland is 2-3 across his last five fights but has finished his opponents in both wins.

Drops split decision in Vegas
Holland lost to Jack Della Maddalena via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at Noche UFC on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was close, but two of the three judges appeared to get it correct. Della Maddalena has struggled with his takedown defense over the course of his UFC run, but Holland, who is fresh off a submission win over Michael Chiesa in late-July, attempted just two takedowns in this fight and didn't appear to fully commit to either. Instead, Holland was content trying to outpoint Jack on the feet. He fired off a ridiculous amount of volume, attempting 356 total strikes compared to just 190 from his opponent, but Della Maddalena landed the harder blows throughout the course of the bout. It's absolutely fair to question Holland's game plan here given the end result. The defeat snaps a brief two-fight losing streak for the 30-year-old Texan.

Set to fight JDM
Holland agreed to face Jack Della Maddalena in a welterweight bout at Noche UFC on Sept. 16 in Las Vegas, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The duo will step onto the card after the fight between Shavkat Rakhmonov and Kelvin Gastelum (undisclosed) was called off. JDM is a perfect 5-0 in the UFC but was fortunate to end up defeating Bassil Hafez on July 15. Holland has won his past two fights and is on the heels of an easy victory against Michael Chiesa in late July.
