May 19, 2024
Shelby is transferring to Kansas, Michael Swain of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Shelby will be the fourth transfer to join the Jayhawks squad this offseason. The 6-foot-3 guard will transfer for the second time in his collegiate career, the first being from Vanderbilt to Rice in between the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He averaged a modest 3.9 points and 1.0 rebounds on 11.8 minutes per game this past year with Rice, though he may be a better fit for more opportunities under Bill Self's program.
