PITCHER
Kyle Hendricks, CHC at SD ($9,400): There aren't any can't-miss options on the slate, but Hendricks looks like the best bet. Hendricks isn't the best pitcher going, but he has the best matchup against the Padres. San Diego finally put up some runs Sunday, but that was against Joe Ross, who is not exactly reliable. Hendricks has gone six consecutive starts with allowing two runs or less and he's generally good for 5+ strikeouts. Add in a likely win and you have the makings of a strong outing.
CATCHER
Alex Avila, DET at KC ($3,300): Avila has been on this list perhaps more than any other catcher in the league this season, but there's good reason for that. Avila remains one of the best hitters against righties with a wOBA of .489. He gets a shot at Jason Hammel, who has allowed five or more runs in three of his past five starts.
FIRST BASE
Anthony Rizzo, CHC at SD ($4,300): Rizzo had a stretch a couple weeks back where he couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag, but over the past two weeks, nobody has been better. During that stretch, he's averaged 16.1 fantasy points per game, up from his season average of 12. Rizzo gets what appears to be a good matchup against Jarred Cosart, who enters with a 4.50 ERA.
SECOND BASE
Devon Travis, TOR vs. CIN ($3,400): Travis got off to a terrible start this season, but since the start of May, he's been one of the best hitters in baseball. Travis' season numbers against righties aren't very good, but over the past month, his wOBA against them is third best among second basemen. Travis faces Lisalverto Bonilla, who has struggled in three starts to the tune of a 6.17 ERA.
SHORTSTOP
Francisco Lindor, CLE vs. OAK ($3,500): Lindor has been up and down all season, but we are catching him at a great time as he's been hitting well lately. Lindor gets a shot at Daniel Mengden and is 6.50 ERA.
THIRD BASE
Anthony Rendon, WAS at SF ($3,800): Rendon has posted games of 20-plus points in four of his past seven games and he has a good chance for another 20-plus-point game against Matt Moore, who enters with a 5.28 ERA.
OUTFIELD
Michael Brantley, CLE vs. OAK ($3,800): Brantley has the best wOBA against righties on the Indians and is coming off two solid games over the weekend where he posted 20-plus points in each game.
Kole Calhoun, LAA vs. ATL ($2,800): This pick is entirely based on opposing pitcher Julio Teheran's inability to get lefties out. Unfortunately, the Angels possess nearly no lefties that can take advantage of Teheran, but Calhoun should find some success. Teheran's xFIP against lefties is 7.04, which is just terrible, and although Calhoun is not having a great season, he is capable of having a big game against a struggling Teheran.
Bryce Harper, WAS at SF ($4,400): I mentioned Moore earlier, but what I didn't say was that he's really struggling against lefties this season. Opposing lefties have posted a .529 wOBA against him, and his xFIP against lefties is 6.22. Harper is one of the best lefty-on-lefty hitters in the league, and his wOBA against southpaws this season is .423, which is eighth in the majors among lefty bats.
