Ayon and Zenit Saint Petersburg mutually agreed to part ways Thursday, George Zakkas of SDNA.gr reports.

ANALYSIS
Ayon's contract with the Russian club expired this summer, and Zenit Saint Petersburg apparently wasn't keen on making an offer to retain the center that met his requirements. The 35-year-old will thus head to the open market and will presumably look for a home elsewhere around Europe after averaging 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 20.8 minutes per game over 26 EuroLeague appearances in 2019-20.
