Gets one-year deal in Philly
Campbell and the Eagles agreed to terms on a one-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell, a 2019 second-round pick, is coming off a disappointing one-and-done season with the Giants. Across 12 regular-season games in 2023, he secured 20 of 27 targets for just 104 yards, while adding 191 yards as a kick returner. He was more productive with the Colts in 2022, with a 63-623-3 receiving line across 17 contests. Campbell now gets a chance to compete for depth work behind A.J. Brown (knee), DeVonta Smith and DeVante Parker.

Campbell signed a one-year deal with the Eagles on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell will head to his second NFC East destination in as many seasons after having spent the 2023 campaign with the Giants. The 2019 second-rounder appeared in 12 games and posted a 20-104 line on 27 targets, but he was declared a healthy scratch for the final four games of the season. Campbell projects for another modest role in his new surroundings, considering he's likely to operate as no better than the No. 4 receiver behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and fellow offseason arrival DeVante Parker.

A 2018 second-round pick with 4.33 speed in a 208-pound frame, Campbell played more games in 2022 (17) than he had in the first three years of his career combined (15). Just his luck that his first healthy season came the same year the Colts offense crated from average to pathetic. Campbell ran more than 80 percent of his routes from the slot and finished second on the team with 91 targets, averaging 9.9 YPC and 6.8 YPT in a passing offense that ranked 28th at 6.4 YPA. He's now with the Giants for his age-26 season, having signed a one-year, $4.7 million contract after his rookie deal expired. Campbell should have a role early in the year, but it's possible his playing time wanes if he doesn't click with QB Daniel Jones, as the Giants have rookie third-round pick Jalin Hyatt threatening to take outside snaps (along with Darius Slayton and Isaiah Hodgins) and hope to get slot targets Wan'Dale Robinson and Sterling Shepard back from ACL tears early in the season or possibly even by Week 1.
