2025 Fantasy Outlook
Marchiol projects as the starter for the Mountaineers, although he will need to fend off Texas A&M transfer Jaylen Henderson. Head coach Rich Rodriguez makes his return to West Virginia and typically has a spread-option offense that is extremely fantasy-friendly. Both Marchiol's and Henderson's mobility and arm talent project well in this type of offense, which includes designed QB runs and RPOs. The Mountaineers will benefit from another season with RB Jahiem White; however, they will need to break in young receivers, as none of the top pass catchers from a year ago are back. West Virginia is truly a wildcard team for the conference this season. Marchiol was 17-for-20 passing for 224 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-3 win versus Robert Morris. He also had 13 rushes for 56 yards with one touchdown.

Marchiol played the majority of three quarters against Robert Morris as the team struggled with fumbles in the first half. The fourth-year quarterback did not any concerns with turnovers and was efficient through the air and on the ground. It's a great start for the Mountaineers with a new offense. They'll have a tougher test at Ohio next week, a MAC team who nearly knocked off Rutgers in Week 1.
