2025 Projections
Joins forces with Ravens
Baltimore signed Alexander (knee) to a contract Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Alexander, who was released by the Packers just over one week ago, now finds a new home with an AFC powerhouse. Assuming full health, Alexander figures to replace Chidobe Awuzie (ankle), who suffered an injury at practice in early June, as a starting boundary cornerback alongside 2024 first-round pick Nate Wiggins. Per Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, Alexander's deal is a one-year, $6 million contract, a low enough figure to indicate that teams around the league still do have significant concerns about his ability to remain on the field for a full 17-game season. The 28-year-old suited up for only seven regular-season games in each of his last two seasons with Green Bay. Alexander currently is recovering from arthroscopic right knee surgery undergone in early January.

The NFL's highest-paid cornerback was unavailable for 10 games in 2023, but he finished the season healthy and occupied his usual starting spot in the postseason. Availability was an issue for Alexander two of the last three years, but if he can remain on the roster for the duration of the campaign, the upside of the Green Bay defense will unquestionably be higher.

Links up with Ravens
Alexander agreed to a one-year deal with the Ravens on Wednesday after Lamar Jackson lobbied for the addition of the veteran cornerback, Adam Schefter and Jamison Hensley of ESPN report.
ANALYSIS
Alexander's deal is worth a maximum of $6 million, with $2 million in incentives, per Schefter. Jackson, who is a close friend and former college teammate of Alexander at Louisville, made a plea to general manager Eric DeCosta after Tuesday's minicamp practice for the Ravens to add the two-time All-Pro to an already talented secondary.
