2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
A litany of injuries to several members of the Raiders' backfield set the stage for McCormick to earn a pair of starts in Weeks 14 and 15 of the 2024 season, ultimately rushing 22 times for 86 yards across those two games before an ankle issue of his own landed him on injured reserve. The 2022 UDFA doesn't figure to be impacted by any lingering effects this offseason, but the additions of sixth overall pick Ashton Jeanty and 33-year-old veteran Raheem Mostert will have McCormick facing an uphill battle for playing time in 2025. A spot on the 53-man roster is no certainty for McCormick, either, as he's competing with Zamir White, Dylan Laube and Chris Collier for a depth role. Read Past Outlooks
Unable to land roster spot
Las Vegas waived McCormick on Tuesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After injuries hit the Raiders' running-back room last season, McCormick got an opportunity to play significant snaps late in the campaign and tallied 142 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries across Weeks 13 and 14. However, he injured his ankle in Week 15 and ended the season on IR. McCormick was competing for a depth role behind Las Vegas newcomers Ashton Jeanty and Raheem Mostert during the preseason, but the team is opting to fill out the RB room with Zamir White and Dylan Laube instead.

McCormick was placed on injured reserve in May, so the undrafted free agent out of UTSA is unlikely to join the Raiders' backfield rotation in 2022.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Makes good offseason impression
McCormick was singled out by head coach Pete Carroll on Thursday as one of the players that's impressed this offseason, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McCormick garnered some late-season buzz in 2024 by rushing for 142 yards at 5.3 yards per carry in Weeks 13 and 14, but an ankle injury suffered in Week 15 then put an abrupt end to his rookie season. The UTSA product's brief but encouraging body of work had given him some momentum heading into the offseason, and even with the Raiders' investment of the sixth overall pick in Ashton Jeanty in April, Carroll noted he expects multiple running backs to contribute in new coordinator Chip Kelly's offense this coming season.
