Inks two-year deal
Lohrei signed a two-year, $6.4 million contract with Boston on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Lohrei compiled five goals, 33 points, 92 shots on net and 103 blocked shots across 77 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season. He also ranked second on the team with 16 power-play points, but injuries to Charlie McAvoy (shoulder) and Hampus Lindholm (kneecap) played a part in that production. Still, Lohrei has positioned himself well for a larger role in 2025-26, which could include more time on Boston's top power-play unit.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Lohrei was in and out of the Boston lineup in his rookie season. He appeared in exactly half of the club's 82 regular-season games, managing four goals and 13 points in his age-22 season. Lohrei, an Ohio State product, took on an enhanced role in the postseason, averaging 17:11 of ice time in 17 appearances. Lohrei is a solid young player and projects to be a regular for the Bruins this coming season, but it's going to be difficult for him to amass any sort of fantasy value unless he is getting top-pair minutes and power-play time, and that seems highly unlikely with both Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm currently ahead of him on the depth chart.
