Mark Contreras

The 28-year-old Contreras didn't do much in his first taste of the big leagues last season, hitting .121/.148/.293 with 21 strikeouts and just one walk in 61 trips to the plate. He showed promise at Triple-A with decent power and speed (15 homers and 23 steals) which could give him value if he finds a reserve role or spot duty in the majors. He'll need to improve his eye at the plate (34.4% K% and 1.7% BB%) to have any success in the majors. His upside may be limited at age 28, but he has a well-rounded skillset that could give him a shot as a late bloomer for a reserve role.
