Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kreidler has bounced between the minors and the majors the past few seasons, and 2024 was the same story. The 27-year-old appeared in 35 games for the Tigers, slashing a rough .119/.200/.169 with one home run and only two RBI. Kreidler wasn't much better for Triple-A Toledo, as he slashed .200/.320/.335 in 48 games at the level. His biggest asset the past few years has been versatility. Kreidler appeared at every defensive position except for first base, catcher and right field last year across the two levels. More of the same figures to be on tap in 2025, with Kreidler unlikely to force his way into an everyday role in Detroit. His defensive versatility is useful in real life, but fantasy managers can find more reliable offensive players. Read Past Outlooks

Optioned to Triple-A
The Tigers optioned Kreidler to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Kreidler has served as the Tigers' primary center fielder this season while Parker Meadows (shoulder) is shelved, but his playing time had dipped recently and the club has now elected to replace him on the roster. Javier Baez is drawing his first career start in center field Monday and Riley Greene will also be used at the position as Meadows continues to work his way back.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Kreidler dealt with injuries in 2023 and could never really get going for the Tigers. He started the year on the MLB roster but was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in April. He then went on the injured list due to knee soreness and ultimately missed extended time following core-muscle surgery. When he finally got healthy later in the summer, Kreidler returned to action for Toledo, where he ended up playing 49 games. The utility player only appeared in 11 games for Detroit, recording two hits in 18 at-bats. Kreidler saw a bit more MLB run in 2022, playing in 26 games with the Tigers, but he had similar struggles at the plate, slashing just .178/.244/.233 in those contests. Unless the 26-year-old starts to show more offensive upside, he likely will remain off the fantasy radar. Heading into 2024, Kreidler will compete with the likes of Nick Maton, Andy Ibanez and others for a utility role in Detroit. Given his ineffective and injury-marred 2023 campaign, Kreidler will probably once again spend a good chunk of time in the minors this season.

ANALYSIS
Kreidler was already on the roster bubble as a bench option, but he may now be on the outside looking in. The 27-year-old appeared in just 11 games for Detroit last season but had an .809 OPS in 49 contests at Triple-A Toledo.
