Handicapping the NBA: Friday Picks

This article is part of our NBA Picks series.

Alex Barutha: Domantas Sabonis over 38.5 points+rebounds+assists (-122) at Nets FanDuel, 2:33 PM CT

Malcolm Brogdon is out with a hamstring injury, so more usage should go to Sabonis -- something we saw happen quite a lot last season. Sabonis is averaging 37.2 P+R+A already this season, so asking for two more combined to hit the over seems fair against a team with a relatively poor center rotation.

Chris Duarte over 15.5 points (-122) at Nets -- FanDuel, 2:44 PM CT

With Brogdon off the court this season, Duarte is taking 20.4 shot attempts per 36 minutes. I'd still consider the over if his prop was 20.5 points. Just attack this one and don't think hard about it.

Kings' moneyline (-120) at Pelicans -- FanDuel, 2:37 PM CT

This early in the season, it can be tough to tell what's real and what's not, but I just think the Kings have more talent than the Pelicans, especially when it comes to depth. Davion Mitchell could also be unleashed against Brandon Ingram and Devonte' Graham, which would likely gum up the Pelicans' offense badly.

Jacob Lebowitz: Miles Bridges to score OVER 19.5 Points (+100) vs. Heat -- Draftkings, 2:57 PM CT

Bridges has been dominant so far this season, scoring 20 or more points in each of the Hornets' last four games. In what should be a close game against their divisional rival, I expect Bridges to continue to produce, and at the very least, take the same volume of shots that he has been taking so far this year. In the last four games, Bridges has attempted an average of 20 shots per game, so don't be surprised if the Michigan State product drops 20 points for the fifth consecutive game.
