Sellers finished spring ball with a dominant spring game, leading to Beamer's declaration of him as the starter as fall camp approaches in August, though Beamer also noted that Sellers will need to keep it up to maintain his job over Robby Ashford. The sophomore quarterback only recorded four pass attempts last season, so he'll be pretty green under center, which could lead to a somewhat short leash if he struggles. It will still be worth keeping an eye on the competition leading up to the opener, but Sellers is clearly ahead in the race nad seems bound for the role.
