Bound for NFL
Jefferson confirmed Monday via social media that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Kentucky to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson had already spent five seasons in college -- two at FCS Maine, one at Garden City Community College, two at FCS Sam Houston State -- before he joined Kentucky ahead of the 2022 season. After suffering a season-ending knee injury in his first game with the Wildcats in 2022, the NCAA granted Jefferson a seventh season of eligibility for 2023. He stayed healthy for most of the 2023 campaign and was efficient in a reserve role behind lead back Ray Davis, finishing with 184 yards on 28 carries (6.6 average).
