Jewell (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.

Jewell exited the Panthers' Week 4 loss to the Bengals with a hamstring injury after logging seven total tackles over 40 defensive snaps. The Iowa product will likely need to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday in order to suit up for the Panthers' Week 5 matchup against the Bears.
