Ken Klee

Klee is a defensive specialist who loves to use the body and has gotten a reputation as an excellent leader -- something the Thrasher blueline definitely needed. He lacks skating speed and is very injury prone. He most likely had his career year from a fantasy perspective last season (19 points and a plus-18) with Colorado so don't expect anything more than that.

Played in 18 games for New Jersey last season and did not record a single point. Look elsewhere for fantasy production.

Formerly a crease-clearing defender, Klee came out of nowhere in the second quarter of the 2003-04 season to score at a 0.71 point-per-game pace. To put that in perspective, stud Scott Niedermayer's highest quarterly point ratio in 2003-04 was 0.76. Don't expect numbers like these again from Klee; he won't get much power-play time and will instead be counted on to be the tortoise instead of the hare.
