Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding are firmly in place for the Wild at the NHL level in net, so Dubielewicz will only move up the ranks should injuries strike one of those two during the season. He'll play in Houston of the AHL until the Wild need a third netminder.
Dubielewicz earned the right to back up Rick DiPietro with his strong performance to close out the 2006-07 when DiPietro was injured. His job is secure for this season.
Dubielewicz will battle to backup Rick DiPietro this year. If he does earn the job, don't expect a ton of starts in goal.
What Dubielewicz lacks in size (5-foot-10), he makes up in hard work and determination. Lacks the physical tools to be a great goalie in the NHL, but his hockey intelligence may make him a capable backup.
