2025 Fantasy Outlook
Corum's rookie year couldn't have been much more quiet than it was, as the Rams gave Corum no more than eight carries in a game -- a figure that marked the season high for Corum and one that occurred only three times. Teams sometimes draft running backs in the first three rounds even without the intention of using them in Year 1, but it can't be a good sign that Sean McVay all but refused to give Corum snaps even though Kyren Williams' fumble count (five) exceeded his rushing average (4.1 YPC). It's possible that McVay cannot be moved to alter Williams' playing time without being forced to by injury, so the RB2 role and a similar workload to his rookie year might be the best Corum can do in 2025. Moreover, the selection of fourth-round firecracker Jarquez Hunter out of Auburn cannot read as a good omen for Corum, even if Corum does everything right from here. At just 5-foot-8, 205, with a 4.53-second 40 Corum is clearly bigger and faster than Williams, but Hunter has an even more pronounced advantage there thanks to his 4.44 wheels. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Still ahead of Hunter
Corum recorded four rushes for 22 yards in Saturday's 23-22 preseason win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Kyren Williams and all starters in the Rams' offense sat Saturday, leaving Corum as the first back on the field. He played only one series before giving way to rookie Jarquez Hunter, but Corum still appears to be the favorite to begin the season second on the depth chart.

Corum doesn't have the conventional workhorse build at 5-8, 205, but he has a workhorse skill set in the sense that he's at least competent at every single thing an offense could ask of a running back. He looks like the kind of player that can provide whatever it is that a team might need in the backfield, though he's neither especially large nor fast (4.53 40). All the same, he had 4,148 yards from scrimmage and 68 TDs in four seasons at Michigan, with at least 247 carries and 1,245 rushing yards both of the past two years. The Rams took him in the third round this April, 83rd overall, after incumbent starter Kyren Williams had a brilliant but injury-riddled 2023. It would make sense for the Rams to sprinkle in Corum more and more as the year goes along, if only to keep Williams healthy. They might not even lose much when they take Williams off the field, as Corum is a similarly well-rounded player with the skills to make up for unremarkable athleticism. If nothing else, Corum looks like one of the top handcuffs at his position, likely sitting one Williams injury away from a starting role in a high-quality offense that has a track record for using its lead backs heavily and getting them into the end zone.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Looks faster heading into Year 2
Corum is looking faster heading into his second NFL season, per Wyatt Miller of the Rams' official site. "He's gotten his speed back, so his explosiveness has come back," running backs coach Ron Gould said of Corum. "We had a chance to just see that, and then his ability to come out of cuts, which is something that we saw in the junior year and part of his senior year."
ANALYSIS
Corum's explosiveness in his last two college seasons at Michigan didn't show up in his rookie season, during which he averaged just 3.6 yards per carry before fracturing his forearm in Week 18 against the Seahawks and missing the postseason. Increased speed and explosiveness could help the 2024 third-round draft pick hold off 2025 fourth-round pick Jarquez Hunter for the second spot on the depth chart behind workhorse starter Kyren Williams.
