2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bigsby bounced back from his nightmarish 2023 rookie season with a competent showing in 2024, and, in doing so, established himself as a starting candidate for the Jaguars in 2025. That said, Bigsby's fantasy upside is limited by the likelihood he remains a no-go for passing downs. His 477 NFL snaps have yielded just eight receptions for 60 yards on 16 targets, and even as a pure runner, Bigsby is probably no better than average by starting-RB standards. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry last year, but his rushing production was heavily front-weighted -- 5.8 YPC in Weeks 1-8 (493 yards, four TDs) and 3.3 YPC from Week 9 on (273 yards, three TDs). Bigsby offers a power element that Travis Etienne cannot, but Etienne is better at everything else, and now they'll both have to hold off rookie fourth-round pick Bhayshul Tuten, who ran a 4.32 40 at 206 pounds. RANKS
First RB into second preseason game
Bigsby rushed twice for six yards and caught his only target for 19 yards in Sunday's 17-17 preseason tie against the Saints.
ANALYSIS
It was encouraging to see Bigsby contribute as a pass catcher considering he had only seven catches last season compared to Travis Etienne's 39. Bigsby played the opening drive Sunday, which culminated in a botched handoff that was credited as a Trevor Lawrence fumble, while Etienne accumulated 32 yards on four touches on the team's second possession before the starters were removed from the game. They seem headed for a backfield split come the regular season and are currently running ahead of rookie fourth-round pick Bhayshul Tuten, who scored a second-quarter touchdown with the backups. Jacksonville's final preseason game will be Saturday against the Dolphins.

The Jaguars keep talking about how they want to limit Travis Etienne's workload, and last year the front office backed it up by using a third-round pick on Bigsby, who then scored two goal-line TDs within the first three weeks but didn't have much luck gaining yards otherwise. A pair of lost fumbles in the first half of the season didn't help the rookie's cause, and he ultimately had just three games all year with more than three carries. Bigsby averaged 2.6 YPC on his 50 carries -- even worse than Etienne's 3.8 average behind a struggling offensive line -- and caught one pass for four yards on six targets. The Jaguars are again openly discussing their desire to limit wear and tear on Etienne, but Bigsby's poor rookie season means he'll likely have to compete for backup roles with D'Ernest Johnson and fifth-round pick Keilan Robinson.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May sit out Sunday
Bigsby is a candidate to sit out Sunday's preseason game against the Saints if the Jaguars' offensive-line injuries render it risky for him to play, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Liam Coen discussed the team's increasing number of walking wounded with reporters Friday, most notably revealing Travis Hunter is dealing with an upper-body injury that could lead to him sitting out. Additionally, with offensive linemen Anton Harrison and Chuma Edoga both forced to work off the side because of lower-body injuries Friday, Coen speculated several key offensive players could be held out in an effort "to make sure we're protected and we have the right guys in front" for both quarterback Trevor Lawrence and "the runners."
